She has established formal procedures and documentation so the HRIS team can be cross-trained and ensure key scheduled and high priority reporting for the University is completed timely and accurately. She has also stream lined and proactively established security procedures to ensure timeliness of time approvals and system access. Jeanna is a team player that is open and flexible to help when needed. Her positive attitude and willingness to help is an example we should follow."

Angie Williams Received a SLU Spark!

"Angie has embraced working within the Human Resources Division. She is motivated to want to improve processes and willing to take on additional responsibilities to help others meet their deadlines, especially the payroll department. Angie provides a professional and high level of customer service for EPAF originators and EPAF approvers. Her positive attitude and drive to improve is the example we should strive to follow. She is an asset to our team, division, and to the University."

Kari Elbe Received a SLU Spark!

Congratulations to Kari Elbe, School of Nursing, who received a SLU Spark! Kari was recognized by Emily Gunn, School of Nursing, for pursuing excellence.

"Kari goes above and beyond in her work every day. She is the unsung hero who deals with all of the requirements our students must complete in order to participate in clinical experiences. She also initiates and oversees all of our affiliation agreements with our clinical partners. Those responsibilities are vital to all of our programs and I would like to recognize Kari for the excellent work she does. I know they say everyone can be replaced, but in the case of Kari Elbe, I am not sure that statement holds true. Thank you for everything you do and for supporting me in countless ways."

Sarah Scholtes Received a SLU Spark!

Congratulations to Sara Scholtes, Physical Therapy, who received a SLU Spark! Sara was recognized by Kim Levenhagen, Physical Therapy, for driving change and innovation.

"This year the Doisy College of Health Sciences implemented Exam Soft which is an assessment-management solution for administering exams. Sara researched the information, met with representatives from the company, and delivered a presentation to the College in August. Sara tirelessly mentored each faculty member and student. Initially she assisted each faculty member in uploading the exams and accessing the reports. She worked as tech support in each exam to minimize student and faculty fears of technology glitches. She collaborated with Disability Services to ensure student success. I am in awe of her dedication, tireless energy, and patience with each person and the process. She looked for solutions instead of focusing on problems. I am grateful for her passion and forward thinking to drive change. The only reason for the successful implementation is because of Sara Scholtes."

Jackie Green Received a SLU Spark!

Congratulations to Jackie Green, Internal Medicine, who received a SLU Spark! Jackie was recognized by Barbara Schmaltz, Internal Medicine, for pursuing excellence.

Pam is always the first person I contact when I need help and she is always looking for new ways to make our processes and policies more efficient and effective. I truly appreciate all she has done to make my transition from student to staff easier over the last two years!"
