Congratulations to Philip Durkee, Housing & Residence Life, who received a SLU Spark! Philip was recognized by John Janulis, Housing & Residence Life, for strengthening our community.
"Phil Durkee has done an exemplary job in promoting student learning in Marchetti and Grand Forest. Phil hosts weekly staff development meetings and encourages student leaders to present a learning topic that connects their in-class knowledge to their out of class experiences as staff members and leaders on campus. Phil's staff also created resident interest groups that promote the learning partnership model, effectively validating the students as learners and knowers and helping them share their knowledge with others through common and shared interests."
