Toast of SLU

Toast of SLU takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in room 128 at the Marvin and Harlene Wool Center. The Club has decided to reduce the meeting schedule from weekly to twice a month in an effort to reduce the time commitment for prospective and current members.

Charismatic leaders weren't born that way. Saint Louis University faculty and staff are invited to become the speaker and leader they want to be by joining the Toast of SLU Toastmasters Club. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of men and women become more confident when speaking in front of an audience.

As members of SLU's Toast of SLU club, participants will gain the skills and confidence they need to effectively express themselves in any situation. They will also have an opportunity to organize and conduct meetings, be more persuasive and confident when giving presentations, sharpen their management skills, become a better negotiator and improve their overall communication skills.
