Congratulation to Regina Walton, Diversity & Community Engagement, who received a SLU Spark! Regina was recognized by Angel Magee, ITS, for strengthening our community.
"Regina's efforts to coordinate the SLU participation in the Sista Strut was no less than remarkable. This 3K race targeted Breast Cancer Awareness within the African American community. Her attention to detail was extraordinary. Juggling the registration, costuming, communication, coordination and transportation of almost 100 SLU participants may seem super human but Regina handled this daunting task with efficiency and grace. She put her warm smile and her sense of style in the forefront from tutu's to table decorations to special totes for our Breast Cancer survivors. This event was a sense of community as we joined 8000 marchers in the spirit of shared purpose. I felt truly honored to be included. Thank you Regina from the bottom of my heart."
