Congratulations, Myrinda!

Congratulations to Myrinda Grantham, Assistant Director for Assignments & Marketing for Housing and Residence Life, who was engaged to Vicky Dean on June 26. Myrinda and Vicky met in May of 2007 when Myrinda moved to Lubbock, Texas, for a summer internship at Texas Tech University.

Myrinda and Vicky were attending a close friend's wedding in Madison, Wisconsin, on June 26, 2015, which is the day the Supreme Court decision was released that legalized same-sex marriage nation-wide.  Having been together for 8 years, Myrinda and Vicky always said they would not be getting married until it was legal for everyone across the U.S.  Later that morning, Myrinda and Vicky decided to "make it official." They are looking forward to getting married on the beach in 2016!

Congratulations to Terry L. Moore, MD, FACP, FAAP, MACR, who was recognized as the 2015 Lenon Neuman Distinguished Service Honoree at the Arthritis Foundation Silver Ball on December 5, 2015, for his years of dedication and service toward research and patient care in arthritis.

Congratulations to Annette Adams, Business Manager, Business & Finance, on the birth of her second grandchild, a boy, Alexander William Franklin. Alexander was born on October 29, weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce. He is the first child of Angie and Mike Franklin, who live in Oakville, Missouri.

Annette says "Mother and baby are doing well."

Congratulations, Stephanie!



Congratulations to Stephanie Bell, Medical Assistant in Family & Community Medicine, and Michael Harris, who were married on October 10 at the Lodge at Grant's Trail in St. Louis. Stephanie and Michael originally met when they were in grade school and he gave her one of his stuffed bunny rabbits before the bus arrived. Many moons later, they started dating in 2009, and Michael proposed in a pumpkin patch in 2013.
